Concrete & Mortar Admixtures

CHEM AER added to the fresh concrete improves the durability of the concrete against frost and deicing salts by entraining large numbers of correctly sized voids into it. It is suitable for the construction of highways, dams, airport runways, power stations, etc., in periods of low temperatures.

Advantages

  • It increases the workability, while reducing the necessary water amount.
  • It reduces the risk of segregation in transit.
  • It decreases water permeability.
  • It does not affect the setting time.
  • It increases the resistance to frost.
  • It provides resistance to deicing salts.
  • It has a chloride content below 0.1%.

Dosage

From 0.015 to 0.06% on cement weight (from 15 gr to 60 gr per 100 kg of cement). The dosage depends on the aggregates grading the grade and proportion of sand, the W/C ratio, the cement fineness and quantity per m³, the temperature etc. In order to determine the exact dosage, on-site tests are recommended. The usual desired air content varies from 3 to 6%

Application

CHEM AER is added to the mixing water prior to its addition to the aggregates, or directly into the mix. We recommend frequent control of the amount of entrained air

CHEM AER is compatible with the range of admixtures offered by our company.
