Concrete Admixture – Setting Accelerator – Antifreeze Admixture. CHEM ACCEL is an aqueous solution of inorganic compounds ready for use, that accelerates the setting time of cement-based products,therefore functioning as an antifreeze.
It complies with EN 934-2 Table 6.

CHEM ACCEL is used where fast setting of cement-based products or antifreeze protection is required.
Advantages
- In proper dosage it does not affect the compressive and flexural strengths.
- It does not affect the reinforcement.
- It’s easy to use.
- It has a chloride content below 0.1%.
CHEM ACCEL is dissolved to the mixing water before adding it to the mixture of cement and aggregates. It could be added also at the job site, with particular attention to the correct mixing (fast rotation speed for 3-4 minutes).
Dosage
For temperatures down to -10°C up to 1% on cement weight. The dosage depends on the quantity and quality of cement, the W/C ratio and the temperature of the fresh concrete. Therefore, we recommend dosage tests on the actual working conditions.
CHEM ACCEL is compatible with the range of admixtures offered by our company.
General
Packaging: IBCs of 1350 kg, drums of 285 kg, containers of 20 kg.
Shelf life: At least 6 months in the original sealed containers at a cool spot. If frozen, it can be defrosted at low temperature (30°C) under continuous stirring and used without problem.
