BETOCURE is used for the protection of fresh concrete from surface drying due to weather conditions.
Advantages
- It prevents the rapid water evaporation and early drying during the crucial time of concrete setting.
- It prevents the shrinkage cracking.
- It induces to concrete better resistance to frost and to thawing salts.
- It eliminates other curing methods that require effort, such as wetting.
- It doesn’t affect the setting of concrete.
- Its’ white coloration when fresh allows the easy distinction between sprayed and non sprayed areas.
Stir before usage. BETOCURE is being sprayed in a compact thin layer using a hand driven or automatic spraying device on the surface of fresh concrete as soon as the concrete has begun setting (half an hour to two hours after concrete casting). Protect BETOCURE from rain for 3 hours after placing. The formed membrane becomes transparent after a few days, its’ action continues for 3-4 weeks, when it is removed on its own due to weathering.
Cleaning of tools:
- First with water, persistent stains with brush and gasoline.
- Please apply adequate safety measures during application.
BETOCURE is compatible with the range of admixtures offered by our company.
General
Packaging: IBCs of 1000 kg, drums of 200 kg, containers of 20 kg.
Shelf life: At least 6 months in the original sealed containers at a cool spot.
Remarks
- Consumption 200 – 300 g/m2 according to wind conditions, temperature and moisture of the environment.
- For large areas use automatic spraying devices.
- Don’t use BETOCURE on surfaces where new concrete or mortar is going to be placed afterwards. In this case BETOCURE must be removed by waterjet first.
- BETOCURE must be sprayed, not placed with a brush.
- In utterly hot or windy climates, shadowing parts need to be placed above highways or airport facilities during curing.
